Dear One,

You may have experienced times in your life when it feels like things are SO bad, they just CAN'T get any worse. And the last thing you want to do is to tap on it.

This is what I experienced more than a year back. For reasons I can't remember now, on a particular evening, I was feeling extremely depressed, and my inner critic was on full blast. I had to retreat back to the safety of my bedroom and crawl into bed, because I did not want to face anything nor anyone.

I did NOT feel like tapping. My mind was telling me, "Yes yes... EFT may be very good, and it works for lots of stuff and all... but THIS is different. EFT will work on everything else, except for THIS."

And what did I do?

I tapped anyway.

Maybe it's because I knew that the mind is often a trickster, and loves to plague us with lies and doubts so that we continue to feel small and afraid. Maybe it's because I was an EFT practitioner, and felt the need to walk the talk. Maybe it's because by then, I have somehow ingrained into myself some kind of automated tapping system, so my fingers start tapping on the EFT points almost on its own whenever I am in distress or experiencing discomfort.

Whatever the reason was, I tapped.

And because I was in such a lousy mood, I skipped the Setup Statements, skipped the Karate Chop point, and did not bother to say anything.

I just tapped.

And even as I was tapping, my mind was chanting a mantra that went, "This is not going to work, this is not going to work...."

After 10 minutes of tapping, I suddenly had an urge to go back into the living room without having a specific reason for doing so. The evening continued, and about half an hour later, I found myself talking to my husband about my day, making jokes and feeling quite cheerful.

That was when I realised the 10 minutes "nonsense tapping" actually worked!

As I was sharing with the participants at my last EFT workshop, whatever it is, JUST TAP.

Having a bad day? Just tap.
Don't know what to say? Just tap.
Don't feel like tapping? Just tap.
Worried you're not doing it well enough? Just tap.
Don't think it would work? Just tap.

One participant shared with me that in that entire session today, the one thing that stuck most in his mind was "Just TAP!"

(Hurray! Next time I shall spend the entire 2nd session of the workshop getting everyone to chant with me "Just tap just tap just tap..." for 3 hours straight while doing the Karate Chop point. *lol*... Just kidding!)

As long as you are going through the motions of tapping, it would allow your body to naturally heal itself of blockages that are causing the negative emotions and thoughts, and which are contributing to whatever problems you are facing.

So what's your reason for not doing EFT? Do some tapping on it right now!

"Even though I don't tap because ______, I deeply and completely accept myself and I am willing to embrace this resistance inside me towards tapping/healing and love myself anyway."

Another optional exercise: "Even though I think Lena's 'Just Tap' sounds crazy/unacceptable/illogical etc, I choose to honour all my beliefs and feelings about this, and allow them to guide me towards healing, in whatever form that may take."

Keep tapping!

Unresolved emotions are located in our body, and sometimes if we are not ready to look at the emotional issues yet, body work can be very helpful. I highly recommend Roger Curtis from Australia, who will be offering his services in Singapore till 7 October. I just had an amazing bodywork session with him a few days ago, which left me feeling stronger, more grounded and more open towards life! Roger is a gentle, intuitive and highly skilled therapist with a reassuring and loving presence. You may find out more about him on his website: www.janrog.com. Wishing for you a wonderful miraculous week ahead!
